Veronica Reyes, Chief Development Officer, The Resurrection Project
Veronica joined TRP in 2015 and now leads the Institutional Advancement (IA) department which responsible for cultivating all Philanthropic gifts to the organization, from individuals, corporations, family offices, and foundations. Institutional Advancement is also responsible for overseeing all Monitoring and Evaluation and the Marketing and Communication divisions. Prior to this appointment Veronica held several roles at TRP, including serving as Chief of Staff (through the end of 2022) were she provided strategic, analytical, and operational support to the Executive Leadership Team and helped develop TRP’s 2025 strategic plan: Adelante Juntos (Together Forward). During the pandemic, Veronica worked with a team to secure the City of Chicago Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP,) a $10.45-million-dollar contract to provide case management services and administer more than $140 million in rental assistance to tenants and landlords impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns.
Before joining TRP, Veronica held various social impact and civic leadership roles in the private, non-profit, and public sectors including serving at the State of Illinois Latino Family Commission, Sodexo, and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund. Veronica is a Chicago native and the daughter of first-generation Mexican immigrant entrepreneurs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Latino Studies and International Studies from DePaul University and completed the University of Chicago Civic Leadership Program in 2022.
