Russell Gordon
A native of the Bronx, Russell's maturation in the borough is the primary factor driving his commitment to service. With over 15 years in the nonprofit sector, his experience includes fundraising, intended impact strategy, evaluation and coalition building at organizations dedicated to improving conditions within his local community, including the American Lung Association and The Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation.
At Food Bank For New York City, Russell currently leads institutional fundraising and is charged with providing channels for stakeholders to support food insecure New Yorkers. An avid collaborator, he also works across the sector to advance programming to address the root causes of food insecurity, including successful pilots in tax time match savings, financial coaching and health navigation at New York City public hospitals.
Russell received his A.B. in Sociology and History from Dartmouth College and is an alumnus of The Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service.
